Richard Fields
President and CEO
Rich is an Electrical Engineer and the inventor and designer of the DTS-FAST (Distribution Transmission Substation - Fire Action Schemes and Technologies) wildfire mitigation technology. He has a combined 32 years of Electric and Gas utility experience in the areas of Nuclear, Fossil, Stream, Hydro, and Geo-thermal power plants. Rich has extensive experience with Transmission and Distribution Engineering, Energy Trading, Asset Management, Wildfire Mitigation, Remedial Action Schemes, SCADA, Substations, and NERC CIP.
Linda Amrou
Director of Program Management
Linda is an attorney with over 10 years of experience developing and executing complex, innovative programs and development initiatives related to optimizing large organizations and creating opportunities for global change. She designed and launched a program that put forth a $6 million commitment to support 30 displaced students annually with full tuition and living assistance. Linda served as a consultant to a global nonprofit where she created diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives for its 3,000 members representing top Fortune 500 firms.
Ryan Brinkman
Director of Construction Engineering
Ryan brings more than 20 years of utility construction engineering and project management experience to PSC. He has a proven track record of completing projects on time and on budget. Ryan works hard to develop the relationships needed between clients and the community to support project initiatives. When not at work, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
Mike Lyons
Director of Signal Communications
Mike has 30 years of experience in wireless engineering, communication technology design, and signal intelligence. He has been in a variety of positions in the wireless industry from a technical engineer, to founding and running his own communications company. He comes to PSC after contracting as a signal specialist for the government. In his free time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle.
Laurie E. Johnson
Senior Project Manager
Laurie brings many years of business management and project delivery experience to PSC. In addition to project management, she brings hands-on experience in the areas of information security, compliance, technical editing, and general consulting. Laurie has a BA in International Studies from Miami University and is credentialed in Project Management. During her downtime, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and planning her next travel adventure.
Alex O'Sullivan
Project Manager
Alex graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga where she received both her BA and MA. While at Saint Mary's she played Division I Volleyball. At PSC she's an excellent leader, communicator, and problem solver. She keeps our team on schedule and collaboratively resolves any issues that arise. When not working, she enjoys playing volleyball and discovering the best eateries in town.
Kari Olsson
Principal UI Designer
Kari has over 15 years of design experience, working across agencies, in-house, and as a consultant. She specializes in transforming complex technologies into easy-to-understand graphics and interfaces. She has an MFA in Computer Arts and enjoys learning new software and creating custom illustrations. In her free time, she can be found hiking Bay Area trails or hitting the slopes in Tahoe.
Chase Sun
Principal Distribution Engineer
A UC Berkeley graduate in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Chase has over 40 years of experience in the electric power industry. While at PG&E he worked in areas including, distribution, transmission, substations, and generation. He also worked in functional areas including engineering, planning, maintenance, construction, protection, project management, and asset management. He’s been a part of many innovative projects including substation asset managment, smart inverters, wind turbines and multiple alternative/renewable generation projects. In his free time, Chase enjoys biking, hiking and walking his dog. He also enjoys harvesting fruit from his garden.
Eric Leapaga
Senior Construction Engineer and Logistics
Eric brings over 25 years of construction experience spanning logistics, project management, and community relations. His skills and experience make him a valued asset to PSC for his specified knowledge and enhanced network. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and personal development.
Nic Row
Expert Engineer
Nic received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and is a certified Project Manager. He is experienced in construction, manufacturing, and project management, as well as, safety procedures and OSHA standards. Prior to PSC, he provided engineering services to businesses through his own company. He enjoys mentoring others and developing strong relationships with partners and teammates. In his free time, he attends community events with his celebrity bunny Alex.
Amman Asfaw
Expert Engineer
Amman received both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University. As an engineer, his mission is to create a legacy of respect, integrity, and commitment. At PSC he focuses on power distribution and renewable energies. In his free time, he writes for the American Society for Engineering Education’s nonprofit magazine. Amman is also an avid fan of hip hop, basketball, and wine.
Gino Sugapong
Senior Project Manager
Gino is experienced in creating teams and building companies, he encourages passion and creativity in others. He was drawn to project management at PSC because it allows him to be on a team with an important mission. Outside of work, he spends time with family and enjoys watching his kids compete in sports, learning life's valuable lessons.
Herman Guimzon
Senior Project Manager
Herman has worked in the world of business/Information systems for more than 15 years as an Analyst, Systems Administrator, Consultant, and Project Manager. He has a professional Project Management certification and a Master's in Human Resource Management. In his free time, he volunteers as a Program Manager for a non-profit organization. Herman considers himself a sports enthusiast. He enjoys playing as well as, watching sports.
Kelly Wong
Expert Engineer
A Bay Area native, Kelly grew up in Daly City. She received her Electrical Engineering degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. She thrives on the creativity and challenges that electrical engineering brings, with each challenge she is driven to learn and grow. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and her rescue dog Kingston.
Luke Costello
Expert Engineer
Luke received his Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University. He has specialized engineering skills that help PSC in developing the next generation of public utility monitoring. Whether it be mechanical, electrical, or software, there is no challenge he won't tackle head-on. When he's not focused on work, he enjoys exploring California's oceans, mountains, or cities–on foot, climbing rope, or on surfboard.
Javier Flores-Vazquez
Expert Engineer
Javier is passionate about electrical controls, embedded systems, and electronics. He aspires to continue to learn and further expand his electrical engineering skills at PSC. Javier interned at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant where he learned how electromagnetic interference was detrimental to plant operation. Outside of work, Javier likes to lift weights, jog, and hike.
Syeda Gousia Sultana
Senior Applications and Interface Developer
Syeda has a Masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Santa Clara University. As a research assistant, Syeda worked on a machine learning project for building convolutional neural networks. She was also involved in projects including big data, databases, and cloud computing. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time in nature with her family.
Jonathan Pinos
Senior Technical Engineer
Jonathan has over 14 years of experience as an electro-mechanical technical engineer. He started his career in commercial and military aircraft as an electro-mechanic repair technician on auxiliary power units. He has 10 years of experience in complex electro-mechanical assembly, manufacturing, RMA, programming robots, for scientific research, military, oil and gas. Prior to PSC, he gained 4 years of experience in the research and development of micro fuel cells, from prototype to failure analysis and production for the US government.
John Baldwin
Principal Engineer
Wireless Communications
John is a wireless telecommunications program manager/RAN engineer with over 20 years in the industry specializing in large-scale deployments with work experience in over 15 different countries. He has worked on several large-scale successful deployments bringing the latest in wireless technology around the world. John is a strong believer in the power of positive thinking to create a great work environment. In his free time, he enjoys traveling to the world’s best scuba diving locations to dive. He can also be found be at the drag strip both as a spectator and a racer.
Victor Flores
Senior Technical Engineer
Victor was born in Panama and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He attended Hampton University in Virginia majoring in Architectural Design, after junior year he joined the US Navy. In the Navy, Victor was trained as an Electronics Technician and felt fortunate to visit many foreign countries. After retiring from the Navy he worked for Boeing, Raytheon, BAE and others in electronics positions. He’s been married to his college sweetheart for over 30 years. He has a daughter and son who are both in the Navy, and a beautiful 7-year old granddaughter. He enjoys sports, Jazz music and good food and wine.
Sienna Young
Project Manager
Sienna graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration. While at St. Mary’s she played Division I Volleyball. As a project manager at PSC, she enjoys supporting her teammates. Having been on sports teams her whole life she was thrilled to join a tight knit, hardworking team similar to the collegiate team she left behind. When she is not working, she enjoys yoga and discovering the Bay Area with her friends.
Tyler Willis
Senior Communications Engineer
Tyler received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. He chose a career in engineering because he wanted to use his talents to make a positive impact on the planet. As a Senior Communications Engineer at PSC, he is excited to learn and further his knowledge in wireless communications. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring California’s coastal and mountain regions.
